"I have yet to see a course - designed by me or by others - with
greater natural beauty or one more enjoyable to play," said George W. Cobb, High Hampton Inn Golf Club
course architect.
Each of the 18 holes on this mountain course offers a new
scenic experience. Lined by towering pines, hemlocks and mountain laurel and
surrounded by mountain peaks, all of the tees, fairways and greens are as
beautiful as they are challenging.

The 8th Island Green at High Hampton
Designed by the late, eminent golf course architect,
George W. Cobb, ASGCA, the course features bent grass greens. It’s a
challenging, yet often forgiving, layout that plays a somewhat deceiving 6,012
yards from the back tees. The par 3, 137-yard famed 8th "island” hole - upon
which Golf Digest bestowed the title "One of America's Great Golf Holes" – is
closely rivaled in beauty by its 17 peers, each is equally beautiful and equally
challenging.
In addition to the course, there are two putting greens
and an excellent practice range. The tee area of the practice range is covered
for protection from occasional rains.
