The PGA National Resort & Spa - West Palm Beach -
Florida

I first discovered the PGA National Resort & Spa in
West Palm Beach, Florida, way back in 1984. I was there with a corporate group
of more than 500. Even back then, just two years after in opened, the PGA
National was all about golf and, even though the resort has been extensively
refurbished, up-graded, and generally beautified, that hasn’t changed a bit.
Five championship golf courses, lush, rolling fairways, immaculately manicured
greens and… water, water everywhere. PGA National Resort and Spa is also the
current home of the Honda Classic, but has also hosted more than a dozen PGA
Senior Championships, the 1983 Ryder Cup, and the 1987 PGA Championship, But
that's not all there is to PGA National. In addition to its five
tournament-level courses, the resort boasts a 40,000-square-foot European spa, a
vast Health and Racquet Club, and a top level golf academy. PGA National is a
perfect destination, not just for golf, but for romantic getaways, weddings,
family vacations and unique corporate outings.

As I mentioned earlier, my memories of PGA National Resort & Spa span more than
24 years. It’s more than just a golfer's destination It's a stunning retreat
that provides leisure and business travelers with experiences both exciting and
memorable. Rarely, if ever, do I rate resorts. This one, however, deserves a top
rating of 5 stars.
